Overview
The MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology is an internationally renowned molecular and cell biology institute situated in the heart of London at University College London (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/lmcb). We are currently seeking a highly motivated and creative post-doctoral scientist to join the team led by Dr Stephen Nurrish.
The Nurrish lab studies control of neuronal activity using the genetic model organism C.elegans. Current projects include the role of Rho GTPases in the adult nervous system, control of synaptogenesis, and the role of transcription factors in modulating neuronal activity.

Eligible Candidates
Candidates should possess/or shortly be awarded a PhD degree in a relevant biomedical discipline. No experience with C.elegans is required but experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage: genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, behavioural analysis, cell culture, electrophysiology or microscopy.
Value of this fellowship
These are three year postdoctoral/Career Development Fellowship positions at MRC Band 4 with a salary range of £30,124 to £32,848 inclusive per annum. Salary includes Location Allowance and Central London Supplement, and depends on qualifications and previous experience.
Benefits include 30 days annual leave, contributory final salary pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.
