UQ International offers a limited number of scholarship opportunities for outstanding international students intending to study in an undergraduate program at The University of Queensland (UQ).

30 April the same year for a Semester 2 commencement
Conditions
The scholarship is a one-off reduction in your commencing tuition fees to the value of AUD$6000. The scholarships are available for international students who have completed senior high school overseas equivalent to Queensland Year 12 (eg. GCE A Levels, International Baccalaureate, etc).
The scholarship is not available to students who have already commenced a postsecondary qualification or who are already studying in Australia.
The successful applicants must be classed as an international student in Australia (Australian permanent residents and Australian citizens are not eligible).
The successful application must commence study in the Semester indicated in the offer letter.
The scholarship is intended for newly commencing students and is not available for students who have already commenced in studies at The University of Queensland.
Eligibility:
- Must have a score that equates to a Queensland Tertiary Education rank of 96. See below for international equivalencies table.
- Must not be recipients of another scholarship
- Must be applying for the full program - not an articulation or requesting credit (other than the IB credit)
- Must have a full unconditional offer
- The application must be complete including a personal statement
Excludes quota programs*
* Quota programs include Oral Health, Dental Science, Physiotherapy, Occupational Health and Safety Science, Medicine/Surgery, Arts and Medicine/Surgery dual, Health Sciences and Medicine/Surgery dual, Science and Medicine/Surgery dual, Nursing and Midwifery dual, Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Science. Please note this list may not be exhaustive.
Successful scholarship recipients will be notified within one month of the scholarship closing date. Non-successful applicants will not be notified.
Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and the personal statement. UQ reserves the right to prioritise specific study areas in the selection process.
Obligations of Students:
- Students are expected to fulfil all requirements associated with their student visas.
- Students shall diligently and to the best of their ability apply themselves to the successful completion of their degree.
- Students are required to conform to University regulations (including disciplinary provisions).
- Notification in writing to the Director, UQ International, is required if the student:
wishes to defer, transfer, or withdraw from the approved program
wishes to apply for an extension
