Indonesian Government Scholarship

Overview

Economics, Planning and Public Policy Program for talented government officials in Indonesia who are pursuing a master's course at one of the designated universities.

To be eligible for admission to the Economics, Planning and Public Policy Program (Linkage Master’s Program), an applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized/accredited university of the highest standard, must satisfy the English language requirements with a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (Computer-Based Test (CBT) 213, Internet-Based Test (iBT) 79), IELTS 6.0 or its equivalent, and must be in good health. The test must be taken in advance to be submitted with the Application Form.

The Graduate School of Policy Science (GSPS) is seeking applicants with diverse backgrounds who have been trained in a wide range of disciplines; preferred applicants have had previous work experience in policy making or policy implementation. Although prior study in economics or policy studies is not a requirement for admission, students are recommended to have completed introductory courses in calculus and statistics prior to entrance. Applicants are evaluated for admission based on their academic record and intellectual distinction, personal characteristics, motivation, evidence of leadership, promise for management and career growth, and work experience. Students must spend a minimum of one year at GRIPS to complete a master's degree. This period is sufficient for those students who study intensively to satisfy all the requirements for a master's degree.
