Overview
The Department of Physics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark, has 10 three year PhD scholarships within the research areas defined by its four sections:
• Theoretical Atomic-scale Physics
• Experimental Surface- & Nanomaterials Physics
• Biophysics & Complex Systems
• Quantum Physics & Information Technology
Qualifications:
You may apply if you have or expect to obtain a masters degree in physics, materials science, chemistry or a similar field no later than September 2010.

Approval and enrolment:
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval, and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programs of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.
Salary and appointment terms:
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current collective agreement for Danish University members. At present the salary is approximately 27.000 Dkr (3500 €) per month.

Attach your CV and a brief application that states your field of interest, suggests a possible supervisor among the department faculty, and includes a grade transcript.
