Overview
The Royal Society of Edinburgh is developing a programme of research awards in the Arts and Humanities, funded by the Scottish Government.
In Year 4 of this programme, the RSE will fund Networks, Research Workshops and Small Grants in 2009-10 to promote collaborative research in the Arts and Humanities. The funds can be used for organising colloquia, seminars, conferences, wor kshops or inviting distinguished visiting scholars/practitioners to Scotland. Funds will be expected to cover costs of travel, administration and hosting of events, a range of outputs and the dissemination of the outcomes in an appropriate form.
Value of the Award
The Network Award is worth up to £20,000 (£10,000 per annum)
The Workshop award is worth £10,000.
The Small Grant Award is worth £500 - £7,500
Timescale of the Award
The Network Awards will be held 1 September 2010 - 31 August 2012
The Workshop awards will be held from 1 September 2010 to 31 August 2011
The Small Grant Awards will be held from 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011.
Closing date
The closing date for applications is 25 January 2010, with an announcement of the successful candidates in late March.
