Overview
The School of Health Sciences is pleased to invite applications for September 2010. The aim of the programme is to contribute towards building research capacity for health and social-care professionals working in the NHS, thus meeting regional and national demands for research oriented skills in these disciplines. A key element of the programme is the experiential development of relevant, appropriate and rigorous research skills together with a systematic understanding and critical awareness of the research process.
Eligibility: You must be currently employed as a Nurse, Midwife or Allied Health Professional (HPC definition) in England and be able to secure secondment from your current post. The bursary for successful applicants covers full salary replacement costs payable to the employer institution and course fees. The programme is available full-time over 1 year or part-time over 2 years.

• A personal statement briefly outlining their research vision, plans or ideas (max. 500 words)
• A personal statement, detailing how the MRes will facilitate the development of their career as a clinical academic (max. 500 words)
• Letter of support from your current employer with current AfC grade and salary
