Overview
Collaborative Excellence in International Research
White Rose Research Studentships Available at the University of York
The Universities of York, Leeds, Sheffield, and Hull are partners on the Centre for Low Carbon Futures (CLCF), which is a collaboration created to harness the internationally recognised research strengths of Yorkshire's universities. These four universities are funding a scholarship Network which will support collaborations that underpin and add value to the CLCF. Each university is offering a three-year Research scholarship for students beginning full-time PhD programmes in 2010/11. Each student project will be supervised by two members of academic staff, one each from two of the partner universities. Students will register at one university but will have access to the research facilities of the partner institution and will be part of the Network.
Value of this award
The award will cover academic fees at the UK rate and a maintenance grant of £13,490 (to be increased annually in line with the basic Research Council Rate) plus a contribution towards research costs. If you are interested, please apply by 1st March, 2010 deadline. The studentship is open to UK/EU Nationals, due to funding restrictions. Overseas applicants are eligible providing they can demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover the difference between the home and the overseas fee for a period of three years.
Project Details:
