ANSTO is the national organisation for nuclear science and technology. We focus on undertaking leading edge research, delivering innovative scientific services and providing specialised advice to government, industry, academia and other research organisations.
ANSTO Life Sciences (formerly the Radiopharmaceutical Research Institute) is dedicated to the development of both imaging and treatment radiopharmaceuticals and provides unique radionuclides for the clinical and research communities. In addition, the Metrology group provides the precise measurement of radionuclides and maintains the radionuclides standards for Australia.
Salary
Academic Level B - $72,909 to $86,582
Target candidates
We are currently searching for a PhD Graduate in Chemistry, ideally with a back ground in Inorganic Chemistry or Radiochemistry. The right candidate will have strong problem solving skills, good communication skills and a proven publication record.
Working with researchers using both experimental and theoretical approaches, you will engage in a research program to develop a more user-friendly 68Ga generator with an improvement 68Ge/68Ga radionuclide generation enabling the delivery of 68Ga in a form that simplifies the process of labeling peptides, proteins and small molecules for application in patients.
The successful Post Doctoral Fellow will interact closely with national and international collaborators and will have the opportunity to publish in high impact journals, present their work at international conferences and to access major facilities through existing networks of collaborative partners.
