Overview
A Post-doctoral Fellowship is available for up to five years on the production and characterization of iron/iron oxide core/shell nanoparticles for magnetic hyperthermia cancer treatment.
Funding
The position, which starts on September 1st, 2010 or soon thereafter, is funded by the Dartmouth Center for Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence, which supports a large group of researchers working on functionalizing nanoparticles, developing innovative nanoparticle imaging technologies, and utilizing the nanoparticles for in vivo magnetic hyperthermia studies.
Eligible candidates
The applicant should preferably have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Materials Science and a background in nanoparticle synthesis by chemical means, magnetic property measurements, and microstructural characterization techniques, including experience in transmission electron microscopy.
Inquiries
Further information on the position can be obtained by email from Ian.Baker@Dartmouth.edu.
Application requirements
Applications, including a CV and the names of three referees, should be sent by either e-mail or by mail to:
