The Jewish Studies Program at the University of Washington welcomes applications for the Hazel D. Cole Fellowship in Jewish Studies for 2010-2011. The Fellowship may be used for doctoral or post-doctoral (PhD received within last three years) research in any field of Jewish Studies. Candidates must agree to be in residence at the University of Washington for the tenure of the fellowship. The Cole Fellow receives a stipend of approximately $30,000 plus benefits pending funding for the academic year and is expected to offer one public lecture and one undergraduate course during the 2010-11 academic year.

1.A current curriculum vitae.
2.A description of the proposed research (not exceeding five pages)
3.Three letters of recommendation. Letters with the original signature of the person making the recommendation may be sent via email as a PDF or as a WORD document with a scanned signature or mailed as a hard copy to the address below

The successful candidate for the Cole Fellowship will be notified in early 2010.
