Overview
The TC Beirne School of Law has a proud tradition of providing undergraduate and postgraduate legal education of the highest quality. The School’s outstanding teaching staff and deep commitment to students have contributed to its reputation for excellence.
As part of this commitment, the School is offering students the opportunity to apply for The Richard Cooper Scholarship. This Scholarship will provide assistance to a domestic student enrolled or enrolling full-time in the Master of Laws (LLM) program*. The Scholarship will take the form of monetary assistance to help with living expenses for 12 months and will be paid in two instalments – one during Semester 1 and one during Semester 2.
The Scholarship is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents. Applicants will be assessed on the following criteria:
1.Academic merit
2.Significant financial need
3.Express interest in the study of law, with a view to using that study in some future occupation
4.Proposed budget
An interview may be required during the selection process.
Applications for 2011
Students must complete an application form and declaration and submit it with a copy of their curriculum vitae by the close business on 11 February 2011 to:
