For Omani citizenship - The Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program for 2011

Overview

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program was initiated in 1978 to honor the memory of the late American Senator and former Vice President, Hubert H. Humphrey.

The purpose of the Humphrey Fellowship Program is to provide mid-career professionals from selected countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, with a non-degree program combining academic and professional experience directly related to their responsibilities in their home countries. Humphrey Fellows are hosted by a U.S. university for one year, while developing their own individual programs tailored to their career development needs. Non-degree coursework, independent projects, consultations with U.S. faculty and off-campus experts, field trips, and special seminars are just a few of the projects that can be undertaken by Humphrey Fellows. The program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).
