Australia: Margaret Clayton - Women in Research Postdoctoral Fellowship 2011

Overview

The Faculty of Science at Monash University established the Margaret Clayton - Women in Research Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2007 to attract female early career researchers with outstanding potential to undertake research in areas of identified faculty research strength or emerging research potential.

The Fellowship is again offered in 2010 in the form of a direct appointment following a faculty-conducted competitive process open to all women researchers within five years of the award of their PhD as at 2 July 2010.

Applicants must have demonstrated excellent research outcomes at international level.

The successful applicant will normally be appointed within the level A (PhD)/B academic salary range for three years depending on experience (Level A (PhD) $66,588-$71,478 / Level B $75,240-$89,349) plus superannuation. Research support of up to $15,000 will be available. The Fellowship is only tenable in the Faculty of Science and it is expected that most of the time will be spent in a relevant school or centre.

The Benefits

Remuneration package: $71,158 - $76,383 / $80,404 - $95,481 pa Level A PhD/Level B (includes employer superannuation of 9%)

This role is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
