Overview
A 3 year MPhil/PhD by Research funded through a Carbon Trust grant ‘R&D into cost effective techniques for the extraction of oils/valuable co-products from algae using ultrasound and ionic liquids’ awarded to The Sonochemistry Centre at Coventry University. This is part of a UK wide Carbon Trust initiative involving 10 different university/research groups working together on the development of microalgae derived transport fuels through the Algae Biofuels Challenge (ABC).
