Overview
A three-year scholarship to complete PhD studies in organic chemistry is available at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense. The PhD position is available from 1 January, 2011 or as soon as possible.
Outstanding candidates with a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry or related fields are invited to apply. Candidates will be involved in a highly interdisciplinary project devoted to make organic nanostructures. Specifically, this project will be focused on designing and synthesizing host-guest molecules and further on testing how these through reversible interactions can organize themselves into well-defined nanostructures.

Application, salary, etc.:
Appointment as a PhD Research Fellow is for three years. Employment stops automatically at the end of the period. The holder of the scholarship is not allowed to have other paid employment during the three-year period.
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement of 1 October 2008 on salaried PhD scholars between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
The successful candidate will be enrolled at this university in accordance with faculty regulations and the Danish Ministerial Order on the PhD Programme at the Universities (PhD order).
