Overview
The U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan is pleased to announce that recruitment has begun for the 2010-2011 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program.
The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Eurasia and Central Asia (Global UGRAD), a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, provides opportunities for undergraduate students from Kazakhstan for one year of full-time, non-degree study in the United States.
Eligibility:
• Current 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year undergraduate students
• Citizen of Kazakhstan with permanent residence
• Applicants who haven’t applied to a permanent residence in the USA for the last 3 years
All fellows will:
• Attend classes full-time for one academic year;
• Perform a minimum of 20 hours of community service in their host city during the first semester; and
• Complete a part-time internship during their second semester.
