Fixed term for three years
The Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation is a leading independent, interdisciplinary research centre that undertakes a broad research programme related to business taxation, including the impact of taxes on firm behaviour and the welfare effects of such behaviour, the design of taxation and fiscal policy. It has around 10 full-time researchers, and a large network of international research fellows from the world’s leading universities. It receives generous funding from business and the UK Economic and Social Research Council. The Centre is based at the Saïd Business School University of Oxford OX1 1HP, and has close links with the departments of economics, law and politics.
The Centre is seeking outstanding researchers in economics, law or a related discipline for fixed-term positions of up to 3 years. We will welcome applications from researchers in taxation and related fields, such as corporate finance, investment, location, fiscal policy and governance.
Candidates are expected to have an MSc or work completed toward a PhD in a discipline relevant to the Centre.
Applicants who would need a work visa if appointed to the post are asked to note that under the UK’s new points-based migration system they will need to demonstrate that they have sufficient points.
The closing date is 12.00 noon GMT on Friday 7 January 2011
