Overview
The HBIGS International PhD Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology Heidelberg offers training and excellent research opportunities for outstanding PhD and MD/PhD students from Germany and abroad in a vibrant and stimulating scientific environment.
The focus of the Graduate School on molecular and cellular biology takes into account that molecular and cellular biology provides the conceptual and technological foundation on which most other fields, sub-disciplines and specialized areas of life and biosciences rest - from structural biology to bioinformatics, from molecular medicine to biotechnology, and from immunology to systems biology. A higher qualification in molecular and cellular biology will, therefore, prepare graduates for leading positions in all areas where in-depth knowledge of biological processes is required - be it in academia, industry or the public sector.
Application and Admission
The minimal requirement for admission into the Graduate School is a university degree from an internationally accredited university that would allow the applicant to enter a PhD program in biosciences in the country where the degree was awarded.
15 PhD fellowships available!
Within the framework of the cooperative Graduate program (Graduiertenkolleg) "Disease models and drugs" up to 15 PhD fellowships will be awarded to outstanding PhD candidates
Application deadline: 15 January 2011.
Interviews will be held in March 2011.
SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION EXCLUSIVELY VIA THE HBIGS ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM.
