Overview

Postdoctoral fellow in materials chemistry
at the Department of Materials Chemistry, starting as soon as possible, according to mutual agreement.

At the Department of Materials Chemistry we perform research and graduate and undergraduate education in inorganic, structural and polymer chemistry. The number of employees is almost 80, including 25 graduate students.

Nature of duties: We look for a postdoc with experience in synthesis and characterization of inorganic materials. You will work within the structural chemistry program, where a major part of the research is focused on materials for Li-ion batteries. The position is funded by Vinnova and the work will be done in close collaboration with two companies, Höganäs Ab and LiFeSiZE AB.

Appointment period: The position can be held for a maximum of 2 years.

Qualifications required: To be eligible for a position as postdoctoral researcher the applicant's Ph.D. degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application date; however, for example periods of sick leave or parental leave are deducted from the three-year period.


Criteria for ranking: In ranking qualified applicants particular importance will be attached to scientific excellence.

In filling this position, the university aims to recruit the person who, in a combined evaluation of competence, skills and documented qualifications, is judged most suitable to carry out and develop the work-in-hand and to contribute to a positive development of the Department and research programme.

Personal circumstances that may be of positive relevance to evaluating the application, for example parental leave, should be mentioned in the list of qualifications (CV).
