Overview
Applications are invited for a PhD studentship sponsored by the National Roads Authority Fellowship Programme 2009.
Eligible Candidates
Candidates should hold a first or upper second class honours degree in an engineering or construction material related subject area.
Successful candidates will enrol on a full-time programme of research studies leading to the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
Value of this studentship
The studentship will comprise fees and an annual stipend of £15,690.
It will be awarded for a period of up to three years subject to satisfactory progress and is tenable in the Faculty of Art Design and Built Environment at the Jordanstown Campus.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 26 March 2010.
Interviews will be held early April 2010 for immediate start.
The successful candidate must have a full driving licence and be willing to travel extensively within Ireland.
The Research topic proposed is in the subject area of early life skid resistance.
