Tutorial Fellowship and Titular University Lectureship (CUF) in Early Modern History

Offering tutorials to undergraduates across a range of early modern British and European papers (courses), you will contribute to some of the outline papers and one or more of the specialised papers offered by the Faculty of History listed in the further particulars. In return, you will enjoy an exceptionally rich academic environment in which to pursue research and teaching in early-modern History.

As a specialist in the field of sixteenth-century British and European History, you will ideally have expertise in the religious culture of England and/or Scotland. With the ability to devise and give high-quality tutorials, classes, and lectures, you should have excellent research capability.

The post is available from 1 October 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be on a scale currently from £42,563 to £57,201 per annum, with substantial additional benefits, including a pensionable housing allowance of £9,986 per annum payable to non-residential Tutorial Fellows; a responsibility allowance of £1,451 per annum; and a choice of schemes for research and teaching expenses, amounting to between £1,250 and £1,700 per annum. Jesus College operates an equity sharing scheme, to assist Fellows in purchasing their house. Additional college and faculty allowances are available.
