Applications are invited for the above position to work with Dr Arno Alpi at the SCottish Institute of ceLL Signalling (SCILLS). We are seeking talented and highly motivated individuals to join this new laboratory to study ubiquitin- signalling pathways that regulate cellular responses to DNA damage in vertebrate cells. The project will focus on the identification and characterization of novel ubiquitin-targeted substrates in the Fanconi anaemia tumor suppressor pathway using biochemical strategies that combine somatic genetics and SILAC proteomics.
Position Eligibility:
Applicants should have recently obtained a PhD or should expect to obtain a PhD in the near future, and will have experience in the fields of biochemistry and cell biology. The successful applicant will have an outstanding academic track record and have published several first authored papers in prominent journals. The position is fixed term for a period of 3 years and is available from October 2009.
