About Institute:
The Institute of Management Accounting and Control (IMC) at WHU is one of Europe’s leading research institutes in the fields of management accounting and control. Under the joint directorship of Prof. Dr. Utz Schäffer and Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Weber, the Institute bundles the numerous teaching and research activities of the associated professors and Ph.D. students. The IMC also maintains close collaboration with well-known partners in the sciences and practice.
Research Team:
As a member of our research team, you will address challenging issues in management accounting research. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on international research projects and publications and, depending on the main focus of your activities, also work with renowned international companies, support our Controller Panel or assist the editorial team of “Zeitschrift für Controlling und Management” (Journal for Controlling and Management) and the “Advanced Controlling” series.
Position Requirements:
You should have a very good university degree and thesis in economics or another field, be team oriented, have excellent analytical skills and show enthusiasm for research and academic projects. You will be highly motivated and flexible. Previous practical experience, in particular internships and work experience will be an advantage.
Position Applications:
We offer an attractive, challenging work environment in which you will be able to write an excellent dissertation over a period of two to three years.
