Position Description:
A postdoc position is available immediately in the group of Daan van Aalten at the College of Life Sciences in Dundee, Scotland. You will be working on how the novel O-GlcNAc post-translational modification affects a range of cellular processes through regulation of classic phosphorylation-dependent signal transduction pathways. Possible projects, depending on the candidate’s interests, could be to study the role of O-GlcNAc in growth factor signalling, neuronal development, bacterial pathogenesis and transcription. A large number of tools, including cell lines, antibodies and novel inhibitors are already available.

About Institute:
You will be working in a highly international research group that operates across the disciplines of cell biology, enzymology, drug design, structural biology and synthetic chemistry. More information on the group can be found on http://www.lifesci.dundee.ac.uk/people/daan_van_aalten .
