A 3-year Postdoc position is available with a start date as soon as possible. The postdoctoral fellow will work on the design, implementation and optimisation of phase insensitive and phase sensitive broadband fibre optic parametric amplifiers. The work will focus on optimisation of the parametric gain by proper phase matching and investigations of the noise properties of the amplifier.
Position Eligibility:
Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or physics, a good experimental background and theoretical knowledge in nonlinear fibre optics, and academic qualifications equivalent to the Ph.D. level.
In the assessment of applicants, consideration will be given to scientific production, research potential and the ability to combine experimental and theoretical knowledge.
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
