Overview
We are offering up to 10 PhD bursaries of £10,000 each (for 3 years of full-time study) to cover UK/EU fees (currently £3,500 pa) and a contribution to a living allowance (£6,500).
This sum may be topped up with
- attraction of further funds from partner agencies by the School
- attraction of further funds from other agencies (Trusts etc) by the applicant.
International students can apply, but only on the basis that you attract personal grant funding to cover the additional costs of fees (in 2010/11 these will be £11,100 for Human Geography and £13,200 for Physical Geography) and living expenses over and above the £10,000 bursary.

Your covering letter should outline your academic interests, prior research experience and reasons for wishing to undertake this project.
