Overview
This scholarship is funded by an ARC Linkage-Projects grant and will provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD at the University of Sydney. The objective of the research project is to examine the impact of new environmental markets for emissions trading and renewable energy on Australia’s energy markets using the methodology of experimental economics and complementary analyses. The project is coordinated by researchers at the Resources, Energy and Environmental Markets Lab (REEML) at the University of Sydney. This research links researchers at the University of Sydney with the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA), the Partner Organisation supporting this project together with the ARC.
Eligibility:
Applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in economics or finance. Australian citizens, Australian Permanent Residents and New Zealand citizens, and International Students are eligible to apply for APAI scholarships funded through ARC Linkage Project grants awarded from 2009 Round 1 onwards. However, the APAI does not cover any tuition fees payable by international students.
Amount awarded:
The scholarship stipend is $27,222 per annum (tax exempt)
