Overview
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in literary and/or historical studies to undertake research leading to a PhD in European Studies. The project is to investigate the historical, cultural and political history of Kosovo and of Albanian Kosovar identity.
Eligibility:
Applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in history, a social science or a relevant language, and an interest in Balkan history, society and politics. Fluency in a relevant language (preferably Albanian or Serbian or other Balkan language) would be advantageous. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.
Amount awarded:
The scholarship is valued at $25,427 per annum (tax exempt) and may be renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
