Overview
This scholarship will provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD. The objective of the research project is reasonably flexible, however it should aim to explore either factors that predict psychological resilience to trauma or the investigation into whether psychological resilience can be learned.
Eligibility:
Applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in Psychology. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. Applicants should be prepared to begin studying full-time at the beginning of Semester 1, 2011.
Amount awarded:
The scholarship stipend is $22,500 per annum (tax exempt) and may be renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress. In the case that a successful applicant is awarded an APA or UPA scholarship, then we can provide a “Top-up” Scholarship (i.e., an additional stipend of up to $10,000 per annum (tax exempt) for up to 3 years, depending on the qualifications of the applicant).
