Overview
The Health Services Management Centre (HSMC) at the University of Birmingham is funding a three-year full-time PhD studentship to contribute to its work around direct payments, personal budgets and future welfare reform. While the exact focus of the PhD will be negotiated with the successful candidate, we are looking for someone with good research skills, with good knowledge of policy and practice, and with awareness of the principles of personalisation.
Candidates will normally register for an MPhil in the first year of study, transferring up to a full PhD on successful completion of year 1.
Research training and other development opportunities will be available.
Value of this studentship
A research bursary of £13,290 pa (+ University PhD fees) will be payable to the successful candidate.
