With reference to the project manager, the work of the PhD student will consist mainly of duties in developing connection of light signalling pathway to understand how the signals regulate metabolic changes in plants. This project will place particular emphasis on defining relation of light signaling components that transmit signals to downstream and is part of the UNIK Synthetic Biology program (http://www.plbio.life.ku.dk/English/Centres/UNIK_SyntheticBiology.aspx). The PhD project will focus on the investigating possible network of light signaling and downstream genes which involve in metabolism. This project will also extend to developing nano-photosensory system in connection with nano-sensor technology.
The appointee should have competence appropriate for researches within the following areas:
•Molecular Biology
•Biochemistry
•Plant Biology
•Protein engineering
Note: EU rules concerning hiring of PhD candidates for Initial Training Networks dictate that researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment. This rule does not apply in cases where a researcher is subsequently appointed in another node of the same network within the same country.
