Overview
This scholarship was established 1970 by the Committee for Postgraduate Studies in the then Department of Law (now known as the Continuing Legal Education Committee). Up to two scholarships may be offered, subject to availability of funds. These scholarships are awarded based on:
- academic merit, and;
- quality of proposed program of research as detailed in the application.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be full-time candidates for a degree program leading to the award of Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Juridical Studies, or one of the Research Master's degrees offered by the Sydney Law School.
Amount awarded:
The scholarship value is based on the APA scholarship ($22,500pa in 2010) and may be held for up to 1 year for Master's Degree, and up to 2 years for Doctoral degrees, with the possibility of extension for Doctoral candidates only.
