Overview
Up to 2 BBSRC funded PhD studentships are available from October 2011. These positions give an opportunity for all life science graduates or veterinarians to undertake research.
Applicants should have, or expect to gain a first or upper second class honours degree in one of the biological, medical or veterinary sciences; be a UK national ordinarily resident in the UK or a EEA or Swiss national classified as an 'EEA migrant worker'.
For offered projects see http://www.vet.cam.ac.uk/news. Candidates can also propose a project, but need to submit a title and research methodology in conjunction with a potential supervisor from within the Department, with their application.
Applications should include a full CV (with details of two academic referees), a covering letter (outlining research interests and reasons for wanting to carry out research in Cambridge), preference of supervisor/project if known, and a clear statement confirming eligibility for the scheme.
