The University of Luxembourg has the following vacancy in the Mathematics Research Unit of its Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Communication.
Junior Researcher / PhD student (M/F)
2-year contract, renewable once, 40 hours/week

Area: Stochastic Analysis and Applications
Mission
Prepare a doctoral thesis in Probability under the supervision of Professor Giovanni Peccati. The candidate will use tools of infinite-dimensional stochastic analysis, in order to study approximation results and limit theorems related to several branches of theoretical and applied probability. Examples of applications are: mathematical finance, Bayesian statistics, harmonic analysis of random fields, and random matrix theory.
Assist the professor in his teaching activities, one to three hours per week.
Contribute to tutoring students.
Profile
Master in pure or applied mathematics, or some equivalent degree.
