Excellence Fellowship at King's College London

Overview

As part of its strategy to continuously enhance & renew its research profile, the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London is launching its new Excellence Fellowship Programme to recruit and develop outstanding early career researchers. These prestigious awards will allow young scientists to develop their independent careers as world class academic leaders in their chosen field within mental health and neurosciences. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate in research programmes within the Institute of Psychiatry.

Excellence Fellowships provide a competitive salary initially for three years as well as appropriate start up support as a foundation on which to launch their own programme of work. Recipients of these awards will be in a position to compete for academic positions within King's College London and / or career development or senior fellowships from funders such as the Research Councils.

Details Applicants will have a PhD and are likely to be looking for their second postdoctoral position (clinician-scientists will be considered if they have equivalent research training experience). They will also need to demonstrate research training in an internationally competitive setting, evidence of independent scientific creativity and competitive publications, and the potential to become world leaders in their field.


Salary Starting salary £33,070 pa inclusive of London Allowance.
